Monday's can be great!

You have to love Monday's when you get on the scale and are down.  Always helps make my Monday.  I have not had a lot of time the last few weeks to post so here it is.

I have stayed very diligent the last weeks.  Only allowing for one really big splurge day.  I have always found in the past that allowing yourself one splurge day a week helps you not to binge.  Also, it helps fool your body.  If you eat the same all the time.  Your body gets used to it and starts to plateau.  Most of the programs out there.  Whether you follow Chris Powell or Bob Harper.  The encourage 1 cheat day a week.

My first week back on track I lost 5.6 pounds.  As with any diet (lifestyle change) you start.  You generally lose the most the first 2 weeks.  Water weight is what they call it.  Week 2 was a 1.6 pound loss.  Weeks 1 and 2 were also 6 day weeks instead of 7.  I was weighing a day earlier every week until I got back to my Mondays. Week 3's weigh in was today.  Woo hoo!  Another 3.4 pounds.  The last 3 weeks on track has given me a 10.6 pound loss.  Love it!  Still down a total of 16.8 Pounds.

It's a start.  But it makes me very happy and make me want to continue.  Thanks for the support and followers.  Till next time.

A New Year with a New Start

Well it's definitely been awhile since I have done a post or even thought about it.  2012 was not a great year for many reasons that I wont go into right now.  But 2013 is a new year with a new start.  So, with that said.  I will be starting back on my journey again.

I have to say that was over whelmed by messages from people that said they missed my blog, my recipe's, my stories and my progress.  I was also sorry that I let a lot of people down.  Apparently a few were following right along with me and when I lost my focus, so did you.  For that I apologize.  I am going to try to use that as one of my focus's this year to keep me on track.

The fact of the matter is this.  It doesn't mater if it's a weight loss journey, personal, or business.  We have all have good days and unfortunately we all have bad one's too.  I think the important thing to remember is picking ourselves back up, brushing off the dirt and get right back at it.

With that said.  I am sorry to say, I am almost back to where I started.  I started back on my journey on January 2nd, 2012.  I was not a happy camper when I got on the scale to say the least.  I gained almost all of the weight back.  So here it is, where we lay it out there.  241.8 pounds. OUCH!!!!!  I guess the positive is that I am still down 6.2 pounds.  lol.  It is what it is really.  And I have no one to blame but myself.  Onward and upward.  13 is a lucky number.

I will try to get back to posting weekly and adding recipe's again.  And, please.  If you have a great, flavourful, low cal recipe that I may like.  Please let me know.
