Stir Fry Recipe

I tried this recipe tonight and just had to share! It was soooo good!

I was watching a show this past week and a trainer made a stir fry recipe. I went to the shows site to see if the recipe was listed. No such luck. How hard could it be?

I figured the veggies would be the ones I wanted.

So here it is:
1.5 oz Red Peppers

1 oz Yellow Peppers

1 oz Orange Peppers

2 oz Green Peppers

2 oz White Onion

3 oz White Mushrooms

3 oz Top Sirloin Strip Steak

1 Tablespoon Kikkoman Teriyaki

I put the onions in first with some water and a tiny bit of oil. had that going for a bit, then added the peppers. After a few minutes I added the mushrooms. And then with a couple minutes left, added the Teriyaki Sauce and Strip Steak.

Fab dinner for only 273.5 Calories!

Enjoy!

Happy 2012 Everyone!

First and foremost. Happy New Year everyone and all the best for 2012!

It has been quite some time since my last post and I don't want to dwell on excuses because there are none. I fell off what I was doing once the summer hit and had a hard time getting back on track. I had a extremely stressful November and December. And, as I have already explained before, Stress = Food for me.

At June 20th I think it was. I was at at loss of 46.5 pounds. As I posted back in September. Summer came, along with BBQ's and beer. I managed to stay within about 8 pounds of what I had lost all summer. Even once September hit I had a hard time getting back on track. November and December hit and it was a very stressful time for me in a couple of areas. Blood pressure went back up, and with stress came the food. I did not even weight in all December! BOOOO!!!!

I knew I was in for it. So this past Tuesday, back I went to the doctor with my head down. I really did not want to look up. The girls at the office all know why I am there. I just did not want anyone to ask. So instead, lets put in a public forum like this. lol. But, as you all know. When I started this in October of 2010. It was to make me accountable.

So here it is. As of January 3rd, I am 216.5. I have gained back 15 pounds of the 46.5 pounds I had lost. Over 6 months is not too bad. But when you look at the LARGER picture. Yes, pun intended. If that trend continues, the weight will continue to go up. Which got me here in the first place. I'll get back on track tomorrow. Just another 5 more pounds. We have all been there and all said it.

So how do we stop it? Good question. And I really don't have the answer. I think it's different for all of us. I do know this. I want it gone!!!! My 40th Birthday is in just under six months and like I have said before. I want to be here for my kids. For my family.

I don't know if any of you saw the premier of Season 13 of The Biggest Loser this past week. But they have a new motto this year. "NO EXCUSES"! It does not matter if your too busy. If your a single mom. If you work 2 jobs. If your hurt. "NO EXCUSES"!

Last year, my walking partner got hurt. Then with no one to walk with. I didn't go. Then I was working out with a friend and our schedules made it hard to work out. So some days I did, and others I didn't. Wanting to get back on track in the late of the year, I found another walking partner, that got hurt as well. It's all excuses! The fact of that matter is, when I lost weight years ago with WW. I did not work out a day and lost 75 pounds in a year. Yes, working out is good. You want to tone and not be a ball of flab and whe you work out you loose more as well. But even if I was not working out all the time there was no excuse to not loose if I followed my meal plan.

So....2012 is a year of "NO EXCUSES"!

There are many ways to do it. And not 1 thing works for everyone. I know a lot of people have message me about what I do and how I do it. As most of you know. I have pretty much spelled it out in this blog. I am going to keep this up. But I am also going to start a closed group on facebook for anyone that wants to join. We can all be a support for each other. Share recipe's. Idea's and what is working for each other. Let's be accountable via our group!!! We can do it! "NO EXCUSES"!

With that being said, I am still down 31.5 pounds and am back on track! Will keep you all updated as you keep me accountable. And please message me if you want to join the closed group. I want everyone to feel like they can discuss anything there.

Cheers!

Tammy
